EOTech Holographic Sights Explained: XPS, EXPS & HHS Systems

EOTech holographic weapon sights are known for fast target acquisition and a distinctive ring-and-dot reticle. If you are choosing between the XPS, EXPS and HHS systems, this guide explains the differences. Browse the full EOTech range.

How EOTech holographic sights work

Unlike LED red dots, EOTech uses a laser-illuminated hologram of the reticle, which appears on the target plane for parallax-free aiming. Learn how this compares to LED optics in red dot sight vs holographic sight.

XPS series

The XPS is EOTech's most compact holographic sight, with a single CR123 battery and a short footprint that frees up rail space. Ideal for lightweight carbines.

EXPS series

The EXPS adds a raised, side-button design that leaves room for a magnifier and co-witnesses with backup irons. Models like the EXPS3 are night-vision compatible for professional use.

HHS hybrid sight systems

An HHS (Holographic Hybrid Sight) pairs an EXPS sight with a G33, G43 or G45 magnifier in one package, giving close-range speed and magnified reach. See choosing a red dot magnifier and browse magnifiers.

Which EOTech is right for you?

  • Compact build: XPS series.
  • Magnifier-ready or night vision: EXPS series.
