Welcome to Red Dot Sight UK. These Terms of Service apply to your use of our website and to any order placed through our store.

For the purpose of these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Red Dot Sight UK, trading as Red Dot Sight UK. “You” and “your” refers to the customer, website visitor, account holder, or person placing an order.

By accessing our website, creating an account, placing an order, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

These Terms should be read together with our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Warranty Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other policies published on our website.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Use of Our Website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not use our website to:

  • submit false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information;
  • interfere with the security or operation of our website;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or customer data;
  • copy, scrape, reproduce, or misuse our product descriptions, images, branding, or website content;
  • purchase, export, resell, or use products in breach of any applicable law.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to our website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Customer Eligibility

By placing an order with Red Dot Sight UK, you confirm that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
  • you are at least 18 years old, unless a higher age requirement applies in your location;
  • all information provided by you is accurate and up to date;
  • you are purchasing products for lawful civilian, sporting, professional, collection, training, repair, or replacement use only;
  • you are not prohibited from purchasing, possessing, importing, exporting, or using the products ordered;
  • you are not located in, acting for, or supplying to a sanctioned, restricted, or prohibited person, organisation, country, or territory.

We may refuse, cancel, or hold an order where age, identity, payment, address, product eligibility, export, sanctions, or lawful-use checks are required.

4. Product Information

We aim to keep product information accurate, clear, and up to date.

Product descriptions, images, specifications, compatibility details, stock information, and pricing are provided in good faith. However, manufacturer specifications, packaging, accessories, finishes, markings, and product details may change without notice.

Product images are for guidance only. The exact finish, packaging, label, mounting accessory, reticle presentation, or included items may vary depending on the manufacturer, model, batch, or region.

Where a product includes a manufacturer part number, SKU, or UPC, that identifier should be treated as the primary product reference.

You are responsible for checking product suitability before placing an order. This includes checking optic type, reticle, dot colour, footprint, mounting interface, firearm/platform compatibility, battery type, dimensions, legal requirements, and intended use.

We reserve the right to correct product errors, update information, change prices, remove products, or cancel orders affected by obvious mistakes.

5. Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to purchase the selected goods.

After placing an order, you may receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that we have received your order but does not mean the order has been accepted.

A contract is formed only when we accept your order and dispatch the goods, or when we otherwise confirm acceptance in writing.

We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch if:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • payment has not been authorised;
  • payment appears fraudulent or high risk;
  • the delivery address cannot be verified;
  • product information or pricing contains an error;
  • the product is restricted for the destination;
  • export, sanctions, customs, or legal checks cannot be satisfied;
  • we reasonably believe the order may breach these Terms or applicable law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled goods unless we are legally required to delay or withhold payment due to fraud, sanctions, law enforcement, payment dispute, or regulatory reasons.

6. Prices, VAT, and Payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on our website.

For UK customers, prices include VAT where VAT is applicable unless stated otherwise.

For international customers, prices may not include import duty, local tax, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, or destination-country charges. These costs are your responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment must be authorised before an order is processed.

You must not use a payment method that you are not authorised to use.

We reserve the right to carry out fraud prevention, payment security, address, and identity checks before accepting or dispatching an order.

7. Stock Availability and Dispatch

Stock availability is shown in good faith but is not guaranteed until your order has been accepted and dispatched.

Some products may be held in warehouse stock, supplier stock, distributor stock, incoming stock, or special-order stock. Dispatch times may vary depending on supplier processing, order verification, payment checks, and product availability.

If a product is unavailable, delayed, or discontinued, we may contact you to offer an alternative, revised dispatch estimate, back-order option, or refund.

8. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping options, dispatch estimates, delivery times, and carrier services are set out in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless we expressly state that a guaranteed service has been purchased and confirmed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, supplier processing, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, payment checks, identity checks, export checks, adverse weather, strikes, or events outside our reasonable control.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to the delivery address provided, unless applicable consumer law states otherwise.

Ownership of the goods passes to you only once we have received payment in full.

9. International and US Orders

Where we offer shipping outside the United Kingdom, all international orders remain subject to product availability, export eligibility, import rules, customs requirements, carrier restrictions, and legal compliance checks.

If we ship to the United States, we will only accept orders where we have a reasonable basis to believe we can ship within the advertised timeframe. If we cannot ship within the stated timeframe, we may contact you to request consent to a delay or issue a refund where required.

International customers are responsible for ensuring the product can be lawfully imported, possessed, resold, and used in their country, state, province, or locality.

We do not guarantee that any product listed on our website is legal in every jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to cancel any international order where we believe the product, destination, customer, end use, payment method, or delivery address may be restricted or unlawful.

10. Legal Use, Restricted Products, and Export Compliance

Some optics, mounts, night-use accessories, tactical equipment, parts, software, technical data, or related products may be subject to export controls, import controls, end-use restrictions, sanctions laws, customs rules, or carrier restrictions.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • you will use the product only for lawful purposes;
  • you will not export, re-export, transfer, resell, or supply products in breach of UK, US, EU, UN, or other applicable laws;
  • you will not supply products to a prohibited person, restricted entity, sanctioned party, military end user, prohibited destination, or unlawful end use;
  • you will obtain any licence, permit, authorisation, or approval required in your jurisdiction;
  • you will not modify, misuse, or combine the product with other equipment in a way that breaches applicable law.

We may carry out order checks before dispatch. These may include address checks, payment checks, product eligibility checks, sanctions screening, export-control review, age checks, or requests for further information.

We may refuse, cancel, hold, or refund any order where legal, regulatory, export, sanctions, customs, safety, or fraud concerns apply.

We are not responsible for goods seized, delayed, refused, returned, destroyed, or held by customs, border authorities, carriers, law enforcement, or regulators due to customer failure to comply with applicable law.

11. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Your cancellation, return, and refund rights are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For UK consumer orders placed online, you may normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, unless an exception applies.

Returned goods must be handled with reasonable care and returned in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

We may reduce a refund where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them, or where goods are returned damaged, incomplete, altered, fitted, mounted, marked, or missing original packaging or accessories.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or fail to meet your legal rights.

12. Faulty Goods and Consumer Rights

We aim to supply goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for their ordinary intended purpose.

If you believe an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, please contact us promptly with your order number, description of the issue, and supporting photos or videos where relevant.

We may ask you to return the item for inspection or assessment.

Where goods are confirmed to be faulty or not as described, we will provide the legally appropriate remedy. This may include repair, replacement, refund, or another remedy required by law.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

13. Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may be supplied with a manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms vary by brand, product, region, and manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by Red Dot Sight UK, unless we expressly state otherwise.

We may assist by providing order details or directing you to the manufacturer’s warranty process, but we do not control the manufacturer’s decision, timescale, repair process, replacement approval, or warranty outcome.

Manufacturer warranties do not replace your statutory rights.

Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, accidental damage, neglect, normal wear and tear, improper mounting, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions may not be covered.

14. Product Safety and Installation

You are responsible for using all products safely, lawfully, and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

Optics, mounts, plates, screws, batteries, and accessories must be installed correctly and checked before use.

We are not responsible for loss, injury, damage, zero shift, equipment failure, or legal consequences caused by misuse, incorrect installation, incompatible equipment, improper torque settings, unauthorised modification, unsafe handling, or failure to follow instructions.

If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your intended use, seek professional advice before purchase or use.

15. Website Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend or close accounts where we suspect fraud, misuse, false information, repeated payment disputes, unlawful activity, or breach of these Terms.

16. Reviews and User Content

If you submit a review, message, photo, comment, or other content, you confirm that it is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe third-party rights.

We may remove or refuse to publish content that is abusive, false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, offensive, irrelevant, promotional, or spam.

By submitting content, you grant us permission to use, display, reproduce, and share that content for website, marketing, customer service, and business purposes, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

17. Intellectual Property

All website content, including logos, product descriptions, images, graphics, layout, text, icons, videos, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors unless stated otherwise.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, scrape, sell, or exploit our website content without our written permission.

Manufacturer names, product names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for product identification and description only.

18. Privacy and Cookies

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

By using our website or placing an order, you acknowledge that we may process your information for order handling, payment processing, fraud prevention, delivery, customer service, warranty support, legal compliance, website operation, and marketing preferences.

19. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, or opportunity;
  • delays outside our reasonable control;
  • customs delays, seizures, or import refusals;
  • misuse, incorrect installation, or unlawful use of products;
  • incompatibility where suitability was not checked before purchase;
  • website downtime or third-party service failures;
  • loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by you.

If you are a business customer, our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot legally be limited.

20. Business Customers

If you purchase as a business, reseller, trader, organisation, or professional user, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.

Business customers are responsible for product suitability, technical compatibility, resale legality, export compliance, end-user compliance, and local legal requirements.

Consumer cancellation rights may not apply to business purchases.

21. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have an issue with an order, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.

Where a payment dispute or chargeback is opened, we may provide evidence to the payment provider, including order details, tracking, delivery confirmation, correspondence, verification records, and proof of dispatch.

False or dishonest payment disputes may result in account closure, cancellation of future orders, and recovery of reasonable costs where permitted by law.

22. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include supplier delays, carrier delays, customs delays, strikes, extreme weather, war, terrorism, cyber incidents, pandemics, government action, legal restrictions, power failure, system outages, or other events beyond our control.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

Continued use of our website after updated Terms are published means you accept the updated Terms.

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

If you are a business customer, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

If you are an international customer, these Terms apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes any non-excludable legal rights you may have under the laws of your country, state, or territory.
