Details

Description

Trijicon RMR HD Red Dot Sight brings the platform a larger window, a top-loading battery and a forward-facing light sensor, on top of the toughness the line is known for. This is the fast version of the pair: the 55 MOA segmented circle carries a 3.25 MOA centre dot rather than a fine one, so the aiming point is easy to catch up close. It still toggles to a dot-only reticle when you want the circle gone.

How It Compares

For a finer centre dot in the same optic, see the RMR HD 1.0 MOA. If a plain single dot is all you want, the RMR Type 2 does that. There is more in the Trijicon range and among our pistol dot sights, and what MOA means explains the sizing.

Ideal For

  • Close-range work where the dot has to be found instantly
  • Duty and defensive pistols
  • Shooters who want the circle to draw the eye in
  • RMR-footprint optics-ready slides

Help & guidance

Product FAQs

Should I pick the 3.25 MOA or the 1.0 MOA centre dot on the RMR HD?

The 3.25 MOA centre dot is quicker to pick up close in, while the 1.0 MOA version is finer for precise work. The 55 MOA segmented circle is the same on both.

Can I shoot the Trijicon RMR HD without the circle?

Yes, the RMR HD reticle toggles to a clean dot-only setting. That leaves just the 3.25 MOA centre dot when the circle is in the way.

What does the forward-facing sensor on the RMR HD do?

It reads the light in front of the sight, so a bright muzzle or a dark target is less likely to mislead the automatic brightness. It is one of the changes this redesign brings to the platform.

Do I need a tool to zero the Trijicon RMR HD?

No, the RMR HD adjustments are tool-less, in 1 MOA clicks you can feel and hear. Both windage and elevation work that way.

What reticle does this RMR HD use?

This RMR HD uses a 55 MOA segmented circle with a 3.25 MOA centre dot. It is the fast version of the pair and toggles to dot-only.

How many brightness settings does the RMR HD have?

The Trijicon RMR HD has 9 brightness settings, including super-bright and night-vision modes. A forward-facing light sensor feeds the brightness control.

What battery does the Trijicon RMR HD use?

The RMR HD runs on a single CR2032 rated for up to about 3 years. It is top-loading, so it can be changed without a re-zero.

Is the Trijicon RMR HD waterproof?

The Trijicon RMR HD is submersible to 20 m, which is 66 ft. The housing is forged 7075-T6 aluminium.

What footprint does the RMR HD use?

The Trijicon RMR HD uses the Trijicon RMR footprint. It is designed for RMR-footprint optics-ready slides.

What is included with the Trijicon RMR HD?

The box contains the Trijicon RMR HD red dot sight, mounting hardware and a tool, plus a CR2032 battery.

How does this RMR HD differ from the RMR Type 2?

The RMR HD offers a 55 MOA circle with a 3.25 MOA centre dot and a larger window, while the RMR Type 2 gives a plain single dot. Both sit on the Trijicon RMR footprint.

How long does UK delivery of the Trijicon RMR HD take?

Estimated UK delivery is 10 business days. It ships as genuine UK stock, so there are no import fees to pay on arrival, and checkout is secured by Shopify.
